“屋前小粪池，屋后大粪池，一到夏天苍蝇蚊虫到处飞，臭气熏天，家里小孩都不愿出门玩，来了远房亲戚也不好意思领出去逛。”回忆起曾经的居住环境，南京市浦口区小刘村的村民刘老伯忍不住“吐槽”。

如今，零散的露天粪池再也不见了。经过统一治理，村里每家每户都新建化粪池，设置了厨房沉渣格栅井，下水安装了存水弯，通过一体化处理站将污水集中进行处理。更加令人欣喜的是：类似的点“污”成“景”的例子，已在长三角地区的浦口、江阴、如东、溧阳等多处落地开花。

另外，在污水治理过程中，还诞生了大量的工艺创新。据介绍，针对部分村庄污水排口高低起伏较大、沿河布置、常规重力管道收集困难等问题，开发出可实现污水精准收集的负压抽吸污水收集工艺。与传统污水收集工艺相比，该新工艺的收集管道埋深浅、施工简便，对现状道路影响及破坏较小，全程无需泵提升，既节省投资又方便日常运维。同时，整个系统密闭性极强，无气味不会堵塞和泄漏，最大程度上降低了运行过程中对周边环境及居民生活的影响。
